Web Programming – Just A Few Facts

Web programming involves the writing, mark up and coding involved in web development, which includes Web content, Web client and server scripting, and network security. A variety of programming languages exist that are used in the web programming field. These computer-specific languages are the food for the computer’s brain, so to speak.

Programming Languages:

Let’s take a brief look at a few of the most-used web programming languages and what they do.

PHP: If you want to create dynamic web pages or web applications, PHP won’t let you down. It’s a server-side, scripting language which is often embedded within HTML. PHP is extremely popular, and has proven to be one of the most exciting web programming languages that exists!

ASP.Net: ASP.Net will allow one to build fantastic web sites, web applications and web services. It is the proud creation of Microsoft and is a server-side language. ASP.Net is gifted, so to speak, in that it possess various talents including its ability to manage email, connect to other web sites or servers, process form information, store data in a database, create cookies in a web browser and much more!

Ruby on Rails: Think of “Rails’ and then think of “speed”. This is a free, server-side web application which allows one to create fabulous web pages and applications quickly– it has power to rapidly design and employ web applications. It can take a bit more time to learn Ruby on Rails, but you will find that you’ll be able to do most tasks more quickly than with most other languages—which means you can take a much longer coffee break.

Programming Categories:

There are two categories Web programming incorporates:

— The Client Side: “Give and take” summarizes the client side of web programming. The client aspect requires programming associated with retrieving information from users as well as delivering certain data. JavaScript, especially, compliments the client side. JavaScript is unrivaled when it comes to designing and implementing web applications.

— The Server Side: The server side necessitates programming which is predominantly linked to data recovery, security, and functionality. The tools most often used, here, include ASP, Lotus Notes, PHP, Java and MySQL.

Creating computer programs that people use around the globe, virtually every minute of every day, is just one facet of what computer programmers do. Writing code, testing existing programs, troubleshooting and creating user manuals are added ingredients in the techno-stew, as well. With today’s broad spectrum of computer and high-tech needs, the computer-programming field has endless windows of opportunities for enjoyable and rewarding careers.
