This is just an announcement type of post. After thinking for some days I have decided to post weekly on regular basis on this blog of mine. Some feed readers are subscribing and traffic is also coming in regularly, so I think its about time I started posting regularly on the blog. I don’t know yet if it will be sundays or mondays but from 1st October I will try and post on regular basis.
What is web server
A web server is a system connected to the network which is responsible for accepting HTTP requests from client systems, usually called as web browsers and serves them the HTTP responses along with data which was requested and if that data exists. Mostly this data is HTML documents and objects which are linked or embedded into that HTML document.
I know most of us have PPC and other monetizing options but some sites might need bit different kind of monetization. I had some content based sites where there were some pages which did had space where I could sell banners. So it is about utilizing the banner space which is otherwise being wasted.
I have been a webmaster since I started my career which was obviously as webmaster. I have never worked in any other field and cannot even imagine of working in any other field as there are many advantages of being a webmaster.
As I wrote in past about using the RSS feed to promote your websites. The RSS feeds is a great tool for a webmaster to get lots of backlinks and also get the newer pages crawled faster.
There are no specific steps or courses for becoming a webmaster. Moreover steps for becoming a successful webmaster are also not mentioned in any tutorial or ebooks. Yes there are some basic things that you must know but then in long run the rest depends on the learning, research and implementation of ideas that you have.
